The San Francisco 49ers will be without wide receiver Ricky Pearsall for their upcoming game against the Indianapolis Colts on “Monday Night Football.” Pearsall is sidelined with a right knee injury, marking his seventh missed game of the 2025 NFL season.
Pearsall’s Injury Update
Second-year receiver Ricky Pearsall will not travel with the 49ers as he continues to recover from the knee injury he aggravated during Sunday’s 37-24 victory over the Tennessee Titans. Coach Kyle Shanahan told reporters after practice on Saturday that Pearsall was close to playing, “but not close enough.”
The injury was aggravated on an important third-down play after Pearsall had an ankle scare on the first play of the game. Pearsall originally suffered a PCL injury in Week 4 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. It took him seven weeks to return, but now he faces another setback.
Despite the injury, Pearsall contributed significantly in the Titans game, catching six passes for 96 yards.
Other 49ers Injuries
The 49ers will also be missing other key players:
- CB Renardo Green – neck injury
- QB Kurtis Rourke – knee injury
DE Yetur Gross-Matos is listed as questionable due to a hamstring issue.
Shanahan explained that Green’s neck problem persisted all week, so the team decided to shut him down for the prime-time matchup.
